Best Hand Wipes?

Generally I wear nitrile gloves , but occasionally I get my hands gunked up with grease and stuff.

For a long time I've cleaned my hands with simple green sprayed on a paper towel.
And for some reason today I thought, someone must make wipes with a good hand cleaner built in?! I see some simple green wipes, but they aren't really advertised for gentle hand cleaning.
Any suggestions?

Tub O Towels. Use to be a Lowe’s. But for sure at Autozone. Amazon I think to. I buy by the case and keep everywhere cars, office, garage. Perfection. I use for cleaning car interior stuff too.

Still use hand cleaners at end off day, but awesome product. I have tried all brands and like the qualities of these the best.

I use GoJo scrubbing wipes, mainly in the service truck when there isn't water to be had cause I keep hand cleaner and dawn dish soap in there too.

My vote for GoJo also but I use the cream because it liquifies and gets into all the tough places like between fingers and under nails. Then wipe off with paper towels. I only use gloves when doing extremely dirty work. A recent poll suggests members are split about 50-50 with those who use gloves and those who don't.

I recently purchased a container of Tub O' Towels and gave them a try in our shop. I am very impressed so far. They work great and no mess like traditional hand cleaner. Took off even the greasiest of grease stained hands and arms after replacing the air springs on our coach and installing the FASS fuel system. I think I'll be using these from here on out.

I have found that since the wipes are made of heavy fiber/paper materiel, that if you don't soil it a lot when you first it, it can be used again as a rag.

I will spread it out and let it dry. Then, even though it has no solvent left on it, it can be used for cleaning the thick grime and grease off of tools/parts. Saves using new paper towels or a rag. It won't be very absorbent, but it sure lets you scour **** off the part/tool. Stronger/better than a paper towel.

Yeah I'm cheap, but hey, reuse is better than recycle.

At my office work place we use a lot of the lens wipes. I keep used ones for this. I store them clipped with a big binder clip.

I'd consider using (buying) some of the wipes but afraid they would dry out before I get to use them all.

The GOOP a orange towels don’t seem to dry in the shop........usually 1/4” of liquid left with the last towel. I dump the old liquid in the new can each time. Hot car in the summer drying out might be a problem ???

I use the wet towels in the garage to pre-clean so I don't gunk up my kitchen on the way to the sink and the "real" hand cleaner.

They're kind of unexpectedly handy in lots of situations; for example, a quick cleanup before I push my bike on or off the lift, so I don't get schmoo on the grips.

The absolute best I've ever used were a tub of "Blue Monster" brand wipes a friend gave me. Nice orange scent, incredibly effective, and super-gentle.

I just about crapped my pants when I saw how much they cost, so I've made do with the lesser brands shown above.

We have been using Mule Wipes for quite some time. It is pretty close between them and tub o towels for me. Right before COVID locked everyone down, about every salesman that I have came through the door in about a 2 weeks span pushing cleaning towels. They were all about the same and none did as good as the Mule wipes. Most of the ones they brought in had a smooth and textured surface, they just didn’t work well.

Wow, great replies! I ordered a tub o' towels and will try that. The ingredients seemed safe and it is pitched to clean hands, where some of the others are not, like the Simple Green wipes warn against it.
Gentle is important to me, as I am an "always gloves" user so I only get incidental gunk on my hands, nothing really tough to clean off.

Actually if the wipe is not too soiled, I put them in a zip-lock bag and use them again. The moistness lasts for at least a week that way. I like tub-o-towels. Once had a block and tackle that was full of grease and crud, didn't have any other cleaner available, so, I wiped off as much crud as I could, then went to the wipes used three and the thing was totally clean, ready for relive.

I am a glove user too, but sometimes even a quick simple job ends up messy. Tub O Towels always bails me out. Not too gritty. Nice smell. About the perfect size. Sorry I missed $9.99 deal at Northern!! Wow.

I tried the Tub O Towels and it worked but I wasn't impressed. Lately I have been using Scrubs (in a bucket) and been happy with them.

Almost all of the wipes sold for mechanics are pretty good. Try a small package and see if they work for you, if you like them buy more; and if you don't like them, try another brand.

Tub O Towels not only work well for dirty hands, they also work well to wipe down tools.

I prefer GoJo and they have some that are not as rough (have no large fibers) and others that have the large fibers in them. The large fiber type towels, including Tub O Towels, are better for scrubbing. However, the GoJo towels with the small fibers are much harder to find. In fact, I think I have only Tub O Towels in the garage right now.

Been using the Wypall waterless cleaning wipes at work. They're great for keeping the shop technicians parts counter spotless, and work pretty well for cutting through greasy hands too. One side has some grit for scrubbing or they can be unfolded for more of a regular towel wipe.

I am using Scrubs in a Bucket, they work good for me, I have used a few other brands that worked good as well. If my hands get really dirty, I scrub them in the solvent tank, then use the Scrubs.

My electrician turned me on to the Ideal wipes. Great for cleaning hands and they work pretty well at removing marks from walls as well. I've had a tub in my truck for roughly two years of California sun and they're still perfectly moist. Highly recommend them.
