What (weight) item are you holding up?

What size anchor can the item take?

How many bolts/screws can you distribute the weight across?

I like the fliptoggle brand at homedepot. They claim 275# in 1/2" drywall and 1000# in block walls. There are also some heavier duty options from Grainger.

If you have access to inside the wall your options open further.

Screws into 3/4" plywood won't suffice?

Will the load be providing an immediate downward shear force to the anchor or is it a load that will try and pullout/pull through the wall covering?

Also need more details as requested in PCustoms reply.

I personally dislike anchors that fall apart when the screws are removed, especially "Spring Wing Toggle Bolts".

Molly Bolts that draw up tight and clamp themselves to the Drywall or Plywood are my personal preference. Those Togglers from Hilti that you pull the plastic and lock the nuts in place seem to be acceptable. For critical applications i choose name branded products,
