Our plant gets a fair number of roof leaks & we put up tarps with hose & bucket to deal with them. Some locations are hard to work them because ours are all square & flat. Usually have to hang by corners and one or more grommets between to get any type of bowl shape to it. Some of the smaller ones don't have middle grommets and we have to punch holes in them or tie up a bight of the tarp. Somewhere, I have seen a few bowl shaped tarps in catalogs but can't find them now. Do any of you use these and have a good brand and source?

All the ones I've seen like that were purpose made for something like a tent. I would expect that whatever shape it has still won't be perfect so will require some bunching somewhere. They make clamps that you can grip a tarp with that doesn't require punching new holes. I would look at that.

I know you didn't ask for this, but is there enough "data" to try to persuade the person with the money to fix the roof? I know that can be easier said than done but is it's that problematic, it would seem like a good idea.

Look for used billboard graphics. Usually much cheaper and more weather resistant than tarps.
