Hello,

I'm trying to decide where to mount a 5000 Watts fan forced heater in my garage. I have two options; corner #1 or corner #2 (see diagram below). I would prefer to install it in the corner #1 but it would be close to the attic ladder.

The corner #2 would be correct except the wall thermostat will be 3 ft below. It is a big deal if the wall thermostat is that close ? If I go with corner #2, the hot air would be pushed towards the exterior walls.

Let me know what you think is the best.

Thanks for the feedback.

The left wall and half the back wall are exterior walls. Do you still think the corner #2 is the best choice ?

I also think #2 is the better location. Why is the thermostat limited to that particular location? It shouldn't be very difficult to put the stat in a different location, say mid-way down the left or right wall.
