I like grip-on and the lockjaw ones linked above. I use the lockjaw ones the most.

(Please no China COO)

Ayuh,.... Personally, I'll buy only Vise-grip brand...

New Cresent brand one are the best nowadays.

Oh. My. God. :shocking:

I'm serious: this is a phenomenon that needs to be studied by mental health professionals. Is it the voices in your heads that compel you to so consistently ignore the OP's stated condition and just go aead and recommend Chinese products?! Even after you have been repeatedly reminded of the condition in this very thread?!

I like bacon.

Its a mind control device created by the government of China. We have undercover Chinese agents as members of GJ that push Chinese tools. Me personally I wont buy Chinese but I feel I have to include that in all my posts when discussing COO. It is for political reasons. I will buy Taiwan made tools. Taiwan is an ally. I feel I don't want any of my money or as little as my money as possible going to China. I dont know of any but I also wouldn't buy Venezualean, North Korean, Iranian, Russian or Syrian made anything.

Anybody know the COO of the Blackhawk locking pliers?

Made in Taiwan, according to Grainger's website. That makes them an interesting choice.

At first I assumed they were rebranded Vise-Grips. But then I noticed they have a release lever that actually works the correct way (where you pull up to release, like the Grip-ons use), not the stupid way the Vise-Grip levers work.

Plus, they're made in Taiwan, not China, assuming the Grainger website is accurate.

Also, they're pretty affordable. Here's a 5 piece set for $36 shipped.

The Blackhawks now seem very interesting to me. I like the Grip-ons, but they're a little too rich for my blood. But I'll take made in Taiwan over China any day, and with the better release lever the Blackhawks could be a good choice.

Thanks, idid a casual search but didn't find anything regarding origin. I have no problem with Taiwan. I would prefer American or German but you can't find USA made any more (easily) and my wallet crystal at the price of German...
