Husky from HD is what I have and it worked great for roofing nails and pieces when I did some cutting and welding of angle iron.

Definitely one with a switch that turns off the magnet.

I bought the HF one and can't say anything bad about it. I recommend it. I used it on a metal building demolition job and it picked up thousands of nails.
