Looking to add some floodlights to the garage. Some I have used in the past seem to have trouble with the sensors. These will be high up and want them to be dependable. I prefer something I can replace bulbs in, maybe something I can put LED floodlight bulbs in.

I don't know what is cheap and good... but I have tried the HomeDepot / Lowes brands and they **** dead in few weeks... and always had problem since the out of the box.

I have heard good things about RAB... never owned one... the costco ones I like went out of business... those 3 that I have still runs flawlessly past 12 years at parents'... The current ones from costco LED ones is great so far at my own place 3 years... and 1 years... but they are not dust to dawn... just motion sensing I put on a smart timer.

My Honeywell motion LED floodlight quit after about two years. It would just stay on all the time and nothing I did fixed it. I ended up buying an RAB with integrated LED lights.

Have 2 RAB STL360HB motion lights on house with LED bulbs. Installed 2 years ago. No issues at all.

I have nine of the RAB high pressure sodium wall packs on my building, now being replaced with RAB LeD wall packs. Zero issues. These lights have a photocell for constant night operation but we have them wired with an array of motion sensors so they are not on 100%. The LeD wall packs are far better in this mode as they are 100% bright at -30C when switched on. The high pressure sodium units are not suited at all to this cold weather on/off treatment.

Do they have to be motion? If you put a timer or a photocell in to control it you eliminate that pesky motion sensor.

I prefer motion in some areas so they are only on when in that area. I really don’t want a dusk to dawn in some areas.

Lowe’s has em for about 35 bucks each 90w led. I just picked up a 50w led with radar technology from amazon. Reviews are mixed, should be interesting to see how it works out. Supposedly picks up signal through walls and doors!
