Best OBD2 SRS Scanner for home use?

I'm a newbie to scan tools. Need coverage for 05 Nissan, 08 Hyundai, 05 Kia, 11 Dodge, 18 Subaru. Mostly OBD2 functions but need SRS for 05 Nissan Frontier. Like to stay under $150 (unless a $200-250 scanner is far superior)
Narrowed down search to:
Autel AL619
Innovo 3150f
Launch CRP123
Launch 619
Bluedriver - bluetooth connection is reported wonky on these.

Good ones above? Total dogs?

I didn't see a good OOBD2 to usb cable w/ software to use on a laptop or phone. Do they exist?

Thanks, Doug

You really have to evaluate what functions do you need?
Is it just to read and reset codes?
or do you need ABS & SRS too?

I have the Autel and it does those last 2 things too. I don't think a lot of tho others you have on the list were out when i got mine. But yes I like the 619 and it has done everything i have needed it to do.

Thanks, jgromada. Mostly for OBD2 codes but include SRS (need now) and maybe ABS in the future. Scanners above seem to always have both ABS/SRS, so not a problem.
Good to hear you like Autel 619.

Out of curiosity what have you found about the BlueDriver being Wonky. I’ve used one for a couple years and never had a problem. Thanks

With the newer dodge and Subaru on your list, I would recommend you spend a little extra for something that read all the modules. Newer cars can easily have 10+ modules and store codes.

I chose the autel md808pro. I have also used it to do throttle and steering angle reset

All of the scanner aimed at the DIYer, leave "a lot to be desired". Many will not work with SRS or ABS on 10+ year old vehicles. Many have no way of updating the software so even if you do get a new car, you may only get "generic" functionality.

When BlueDriver came out, I thought things would change. I don't think they have sold enough or have enough subscriptions to keep with the changes that happen every model.

I think you have to spend A LOT MORE than $200 to get good functionality !

Some say they do ABS and SRS but can only read codes, to troubleshoot you need to at least see the data pids the module is using and the ability to graph is a plus.
Of course I'm spoiled having several pro models to choose from so can't give you real world experience with these lower price options but the Launch X431 Diagun is probably the least expensive I would consider for general use.

I read a long review that fellow had to continually restart app cuz phone dimming broke connection. Glad you don't have trouble.

Yeah, read a few that stated 2006 and newer for SRS/ABS.

Yeah, I was hoping to see which airbag sensor/connection was faulty.

Thanks so much, guys. I'll lookup x431 Diagun and md808pro.

After reading more, think I'll go the Bluetooth plugin module route.
Either: Bluedriver Bluetooth Pro $100 or OBDLink MX+ $80. Any experience with OBDLink? Awaiting email form them re: will it do SRS on 05 Frontier. Bluedriver does list Nissan for enhanced modules.

I have the obdlink mx. I use it with forscan and alfaobd. Works flawlessly so far, never lost communication. Never tried with any other programs or apps.

I have the Zurich 13 from harbor freight and I’ve scanned 2018 dodge trucks 2002 jags and many many other makes and models. It’s updatable and also does srs and abs and live data for engine. So far it’s been an excellent choice for me

No, I just started using and learning alfaobd. I have successfully programmed tpms and tire size. Some of the other things I tried were unsuccessful but really didn’t have the time to play around much yet. Stupid security gateway bypass I got wasn’t consistently working on the main can.

Yep. Same here. If you have a newer Dodge, the Alfa does a lot of cool stuff. I've enabled auto high beams, power fold mirrors, puddle lights and some other things.

Personally, I think launch cr 619 (https://www.obdadvisor.com/launch-cr619-review/) is a good choice for home use, it provides diagnose for abs, srs, code definition right away and i dont have to waste time google it. plus, software update is easy, just connect the launch with PC by usb and get the update from author's website.

I hadn't bought one yet. My buddy gave me an extended loan of his 8-10 yo HF scanner. He got it as present and guesses ~$100. Works fine for what I need. I ended up not needing SRS cuz I found a reset procedure. Ya know - key on for 2.8 secs, Climb in bed and dance a jig, key back on, etc. I figure I tripped SRS when I pulled the seats with battery hooked up.

I’d look at Foxwell NT520 or 530 as well for a good scanner in the $150 range. You get one free car brand specific module upon registration.
