Best Oil Drain?

Hey all...when I got my 4 post, I also got a roll around oil drain. It's one made by John Dow, holds about 5 gallons. I didn't want to have to pour it out so I rigged up a hand pump. It's a plastic tank.

Problem is...where I put the pump...used to be a vent so the pump needs to be somewhat loose to avoid a huge mess. It all works okay, but it's a cheap pump that allows seepage well after it's used making a mess on the floor. If you don;t mind pouring it out and not using the pump...it's fine and does a good job. However, I most often work alone and am getting annoyed each time I used it.

I'm wondering if anyone had good luck with a different type of oil drain. I'm sure I can find someone who can use mine if I decide to upgrade.

I know HF makes one with a air pressure evacuation and Ranger makes one with a hand pump....but I'd like to hear anyone's comments. Thanks

I have the 20 gallon one from HF and really like it. It also uses air to drain the tank.

The only trick I found was to take the air pressure regulator off to vent the tank when you are draining oil into it, otherwise there is an air block that causes the oil to pool in the top until air bubbles come up through the oil like a water cooler.

I also found that there was a ton of cheap Teflon tape on and in every fitting. I pulled everything apart and used a couple turns of quality tape. That should only take about 10 minutes to do.

I got it for around $119 with a coupon last year.
