Best oil for puller spindle ???

A good EP grease. Lack of good lubrication will kill a puller.

I hate grease on the outside of anything. Never seize is especially nasty. I use paraffin wax.

EP grease has in its components, solid lubricants (graphite and/or molybdenum disulfide) to provide protection under heavy loadings. Besides the normal protective film provided by the lubricant, EP grease contains solid lubricants that bond to the surface of the metal and adds a sub-layer that prevents metal to metal contact. This insures in the end, that there is no friction and wear when the lubricant film gets too thin/breaks.

For high pressure applications or applications where corrosion could prevent components disassembly later in their service life some greases have an extra element of copper . Grease that contains copper is also known as an anti-seize grease because it reduces the chance of electrolytic corrosion that “welds” together different metals that come into contact.

I use moly on all working threads of my pullers

I use open gear spray lube. Still tacky after use.

I use grease from my grease gun on the threads.

Any moly grease. Wouldn't suggest never seize since when you unscrew the cap you transform into

I use the oil or the grease they both work excellent. OTC use to pack the oil in some of there sets years ago.

I use transmission fluid to oil those threads. Works the best for me.

ANYTHING is better than nothing !

Fluid Film. Slipperiest stuff I know. Not sure how well it hold under high pressure, but it is for a very short period of time.

Hydraulic fluid is what I reach for. However as others have mentioned anything you have would be fine ranging from WD-40 to wheel bearing grease.

I will try to get some EP grease , if not then transmission oil sounds also good and motor oil is a easy choice as everyone has some !
