Best options for ceiling.... 8' spacing between trusses

What have you guys done with the 8' space between trusses when you wanted to install a ceiling? Want to see some lessons learned and best route to take. Thanks

Fill it with insulation leaving a small (1") air gap between the insulation and the underside of the roof.

I used 26 gauge R panel in white. IIRC, I added about 6-8 inches of cellulose insulation. It's been there over 10 years now and no problems.

Typically you use strapping perpendicular to the trusses spaced no more than 2'. What material are you looking to use for the ceiling?

I just stared on my ceiling this week end. I'm using joist hangers and 2x4 on 2 ft. center. Then going to put up 1/4 osb.

Most likely metal ceiling.

I just stared on my ceiling this week end. I'm using joist hangers and 2x4 on 2 ft. center. Then going to put up 1/4 osb.

I believe I could go 4' center with metal ceiling without any issues.
