That is the correct way to hang rolls.
It is the only way that allows the roll to be held & torn with one hand.
like2wheel, you sir are a logical thinker.

That's how I've always done paper towels for that reason.

Funny this reminds me of back in the daily newspaper days when Dear Abby had an ongoing fight about the correct way to hang toilet paper.

Scott's Rag in a Box white for me also. I tried the paper towels on a roll once. I left the garage door open one day and came back to find the entire roll on the floor, unrolled. Found out that the wind caused it to unroll, Rag in a Box since then.

Scott Blue towels. Amazon has a 30pk for 40.25. just over 1.34 per roll. Hard to beat, usually keep a roll in my truck also

My neighbor used to work at a hospital and get the blue towels/rags. those are nice, and have been using those for cleaning inside the house and lighter cleaning so they can be reused and using the disposable ones for grease and oil. I don't think the wife would be happy with grease and oil in her new washing machine, as she has threatened to throw some really grungy pants out before washing them

Yup, I have a friend that works at a hospital. He brings me bundles of those blue cloth rags and they are my go to for my harder scrubbing applications. Those rags are included in a lot of their surgical device sets, etc. Use them and throw away.

I've ruined some nice clothes trying to wash greasy, dirty rags in the washing machine.

Thanks damon, but I'm afraid we might be in the minority.

30+ years later, I still can't convince the wife that's the best way to hang the toilet paper...
