Best place for electric motors

I might be looking for a 5HP compressor duty motor.

Anyone have a suggestion other than maybe Surplus Center?

Ebay. I can usually find a new old stock motor for whatever I need to do.

I second ebay, I've bought several american made motors from them, all new , and all at a better price than I could find anywhere else.

You need frame #, horse power, and RPM.

I bought a motor from HF on sale years ago. Give them a try.

I would find a local motor repair shop. I bought a commercial compressor for next to nothing off of clist because the motor didn't work. I pulled the motor off and took it to a local shop. Only cost $90 for the fix. A new motor would have cost 1k
