Best place to find WrightGrip wenches

i have been looking for a while now and have not found a set of 3/8 through 1 1/4 wrightgrip wrenches. has anyone found a place that sells that set preferably full polish?

yes the only sets i have found go up to 1in. otherwise i just find their regular wrenches.

I am a little disappointed that Wright doesn't explicitly list which combos are WrightGrip and which aren't on their online catalog, unless all of the current production is? Worth asking them to clarify.

Assuming that the new WrightGrip wrenches are otherwise similar to the previous non-WG Wright wrenches, the beam thickness and therefore feel and weight is more similar to SK than Snap-On.

As the picture above shows however they are in between the two in length, closer to SO than SK.

Of the WG and SO, which you prefer really comes down to personal preference. I like a thicker beam as I usually work without gloves, but if you usually wear mechanic's gloves the lighter weight of the SO may be nice as the thinner beam won't bother you so much. Both are quality tools, can't really go wrong with either.

I like my Wright-grips but there are occasions they won't work. I have an oil filter wrench that uses a 3/4 wrench to turn, the Wright won't go on, too tight.

The Bonney is the most aesthetically pleasing. At least to me anyhow.

The Wright website has a quote feature that will let you put together a wish list. Wright will send the list to the distributors in your area and the distributors will send you an email with a price and availalility. I did this to fill in some holes and the shop down the road ended up being better than web prices. In the pictures of the wrench ends the Wright is on the left.

They order on demand from Wright so it took a couple of weeks for the wrenches to arrive, but they were factory fresh. Best prices that I could find, too.

I agree. I bought sets 711 and 752 from them with no problems.

I have heard many say that all of Wright's current combo wrenches are WrightGrip, and Amazon is known to have wrong pictures and descriptions at times.

My Snap On set cost me just right below 300 from the truck. It includes 10mm-19mm and 5/16-3/4".

Add in the rest and your well over the price of the wright grip's. He is getting 5/16 to 1 1/4 and 7 to 24mm no skips. We can all see what the better deal is here.
