Hopefully I will be able to complete the interior of my new garage sometime this summer, but in the meantime, I will continue planning. The garage is 21'x21x with 10' ceilings. I will be insulating and rocking the walls and ceiling. In the attached shop, I have a small wall mounted propane heater, which is fine for the shop, which has low ceilings, but for the garage, I am thinking I will need something to push air around, correct? I am planning on piping over propane, but am not sure of what heater to get. I need to keep costs as low as possible, so what would people recommend for a cost effective heater? I can vent to the outside if need be.

Yes, It can be vented either horizontally or vertically.

I personally would stay away from the ventless heaters.
