Millions and probably billions of Radiators for damn near Century with plain old lead solder held up quite well lots of thermal Cycles and technically is kind of a pressure vessel plus like others have mentioned it locks today's kind of tall and be unobtrusive when oxidized and easier to work with than silver solder due to lower melting point. Get a few good soldering coppers and some practice in it is amazing how well the stuff can flow.
