Best Pry / Convincer Bars?

I am currently in the market for a large pry bar, as I have borrowed the plumber's pry bars enough that I think its time I get my own. I am looking for a high strength bar for setting / moving transformers, switch gear, etc., so looking for something that is 50~60" in length and can lift a couple hundred pounds without bending.

I have been using a Marshalltown 56" Monster Bar with a round fulcrum for moving and positioning transformers (1500~2000lbs) and switch gear (500~1000lbs) and it, along with some 1-1/4" rigid pipe, has worked flawlessly and overall works a lot better than spud bars, which seem to bend under the weight of larger gear. I am currently looking at a Marshalltown 56" Big Bad Monster pry bar, but wanted to reach out to the great people of Garage Journal and see what your suggestions are for a good quality pry bar that can put up with a lot of heavy weight and abuse.

I came out of the drilling side of the oilfield and witnessed more than few of my hands using bent 5’ bars. How they bent them I never asked, I figured the less I knew about some stuff the better.

I've seen a Mayhew Dominator that's about 5' long at the local Bomgaars store. It's a wicked looking bar, but I don't know how well it would hold up to 2000#'s though. It's been about 15 years since I had anything to do with big gear and transformers, but I do remember using what we called an "old man" similar to what's in the link but ours had a wooden handle.

I have no skin in this game. Have used the "Johnson Bars" many times over the years ... real handy when you have room to use them.

I have a 54?" dominator and equivalent snap on, use them hard all day. Also have the blue point 3260b that I put a jack handle over as a cheater. All have held up fine, but between the mayhew and snap on I think the mayhew deflects less.

I've broken several of the marshall town bars right where the handle is welded to the fork mount bar.

Here in AZ we have digging bars, as they are used to break up the hard-as-concrete soil and caliche. Mine are 6ft+ long, and I mostly use a chisel/pointed bar, which is one piece with a 1" hex steel shaft (maybe larger, I'm not going to run out to the shed to measure). They work well for clearing holes of rocks, and also as general pry bars.

We just now started getting Bomgaars stores in our area and they’re cool as hell to me. But I geek out in most farm and hardware stores.
