Hello,
I have been working on my own as a mobile mechanic for a while now and I am looking into upgrading my scan tool. Right now I just have a basic scan tool that just pulls engine codes. I would like one that can do ABS and SRS for domestic/imports/European vehicles. Some other functionality such as brake bleeding for ABS vehicles, and key programming would be nice as well. I am open to buying used or new. I was hoping to get some suggestions in the 500 and under range.

I went with Autel as that and Snap On are the only ones that will scan my Mercedes Sprinter. I suspect Snap On may be better but at a huge cost.

I'd go autel or launch, snapon useful but cost is massive and it still don't do everything .
Autel and launch pretty similar in what they will and won't do and should be in budget and useful .
Key programming and programming/flashing modules is when it gets tricky and need about 4 different scanners to cover it well but not perfectly lol .

I have an iCarsoft CR Plus that will scan my Sprinter, Porsche 911 , Ford Ranger, Mercedes, and turn off the service lights and CEL. Has programming included for many other cars, but I haven't tried them. $209.00

I considered Launch for a bit. I was definitely unhappy with a pocket reader since I sold my Verus a couple years back. Almost pulled the trigger on this one: http://launchtechusa.com/millennium-90-pro/ Macto tools runs it at $307 on their site. Mac tools ran a $279 special a couple months back.
