I like Witte personally, although the hard handle and first gen soft grip snap-on's are pretty decent too and seem to be the preferred choice around here.

here is mine

I like the Feel of the handles on the Snap On's but I use the Blue Points just as much if not more than the Snap On's plus the price is much less .

You should go out and try some, different people like different types of handles. Also consider your handle shape and size, I have slightly largish hands that aren't meaty and so I tend to end wrapping my hands all the way around some screwdriver handles and having more finger to go which I don't like at all becuase my hands cramp up.

As far as personal preference: Plain Craftsman handles they just seem to fit my hand well, Klein handles are nice also, oddly the Mac hard handles are nice to despite seeming somewhat smallish and the old Craftsman industrial ones like bchee pointed out are nice as well. Also the SO 1st gen softgrips seem nice for the limited amount of time I have used them.

Screwdrivers that would be nice if I had little girly hands are: Channellocks comfort handles are really nice if I had fingers that were 3/4" shorter, SO 1st gen hard handles all my female friends think its a nice handle I just find it a pain to use something that small.

Screwdrivers that I just plain don't like using becuase they are slower and more uncomfortable than the ones I like: SO 2nd gen hard grips, I had one of the ratcheting screwdrivers and I still was going faster with a Klein becuase of the handle shape, Stanley tri-lobes, just an odd handles for really putting torque on.

Theres my list that almost guarantees I ticked somebody off. I haven't tried many of the German brands but if I find some that feel good I could see buying them.

It is too personal, fit and feel. I had some I tried that I would have loved the handles on some other blades. Because the the handles didn't have the hole, or a hex bolster to assist when needed.

Still trying to find an ideal one, and I refuse to buy on suggestion alone.

Klein screwdrivers are a perfect example of something being less on extravagance and more on function. When it comes to speed, nothing is better than a Klein rubber grip handled screwdriver.

********. SK/Facom Expert 2s are the fastest screwdriver out there. Klein are just re-branded Pratt-Reed anyway. Now the Klein Journeyman screwdrivers... those look like they'd be worth looking in to.

At the urgency of eschoendorff's polite recommendation, I decided to look at some FACOM PRO-TWIST screwdrivers; they look pretty dang good. :spit:

I rarely come away from a car boot sale without another screwdriver.
First I look at the tip, then make sure the shank is not bent, then I might look at the handle...
manufacturer?
