I use GEM Coated (PTFE?) razor blades after I shave with them about 3-6 times.

I've got the Lisle and I love it.

Bought one for a friend who has a house on an island off the coast of New England. A high speed house painter got all sorts of paint on the window glass where it didn't need to be, so I spent a lot of time on a ladder with a Lisle, scraping away. Not just for decals! Comfy for long term use, and sometimes you can put your other hand on the shaft to hold it down for a little bit of pressure. The friend I bought one for liked it, too.

A year later I go back to that house and found it with the sharp edge of the blade mounted outwards, sticking out from a pile of stuff on a shelf, cap for storage on the handle missing. Did I mention he's in the construction trades? Mess and flailing.

Single or double edge,? Only seen shaving done w double edge cut in half for single edge blades in a straight razor.😱

GEM blades single edge. They look just like paint scraper blades, but they have a PTFE coating for shaving.

Here is an example of a GEM razor and blade. As I said, they look just like paint scraper blades… but they are, definitely, not.

After they are not good enough for shaving, they are still fine for scrapers.IMG_4548.jpegIMG_4549.jpegIMG_4550.jpeg

Found these in Walmart paint department today. Certainly not the best scraper available, but considering these are regularly priced at $2.23, with 5 razor blades included, and made in USA, inexpensive enough to keep a few laying around. Home Depot sells the same scraper for $6.75.
Hadn't any issues with that tool.
Looks absolutely exactly like the Stanley 28-500 (Art. 0-28-500), even small manufacturing details look identical. The original Stanley is stamped "STANLEY No. 28-500" above the round hole. Swiss price incl. 8.1 % VAT corresponds to around USD 8 to 10, I'd have expected it to be way more expensive than (U.S.) Home Depot as comparison, typically Swiss prices are often 30 to 60 % higher than German prices (comparison excl. VAT). I purchased some tools in the U.S. and they were much less expensive than here.
I use some larger Tajima scrapers, quite good but expensive, though I haven't used their small scrapers.

Referring to Stahlwille, many generic tools are not manufactured by Stahlwille and are way less expensive if the original are bought, e.g. various items from Bessey, including Erdi, or Rennsteig (1:1 excepted the labelling and sometimes grip colors). Even Hazet used to be a supplier though I don't know if it's still the case. Also the adjustable 4025 and 4026 wrenches are usual models from Irega, the only European manufacturer of such wrenches.
I don't know Stahlwille scrapers well enough to tell if they're original Stahlwille tools or only private-labelled.
