This irwin style stripper can also break an insulation in the middle of a bunch of wire harness and allow you to put a tap, without cutting and rejoining.

Yep, I beleive that's the lowest price as well.

Klein Curves for all standard wire stripping down to 22 awg. For 22 and 24 (cat 5 and the spice wire in an MPOE) I use the notch in a set of electricians snips. Some guys use their thumbnail for that.

For tight places under the dash, you probably want something that strips from the front of the tool.

Does anyone have first hand experience with these? I like the idea of those, just curious how well they work in the real world.

These from VIM are by far my favorite do it all tool. The Crimpers are on the nose instead of down by the handles and 2 years of using them everyday the strippers are like new0d1a4a0d83787a5633fd9b09b86276cb.jpg

Crazy, I've seen those and have wondered how well they work. Very low in price.

That yellow handled Klein is a current version of a stripper that used to be everywhere. I have several. I don't even remember whose name is on them, if any. I own an automatic stripper and crimpers with stripper notches but I almost always grab the little yellow guy. Most of the time the limit screw is not even adjusted. After many years I can tell when I am almost through the insulation and I get a clean strip with no lost strands. All those big fancy automatic strippers are so bulky that it is often a struggle to get them on the wire.
