Got a student discount on all three. Want tools that are commonly used. Already work in the automotive industry, looking to further my arsenal. Was thinking Snap-On open end wrenches (SAE and Metric), possibly a Snap-On 24oz dead blow ball peen hammer, Matco ratchets (1/4, 3/8, and 1/2). Don't know enough about Mac but want some stuff from there, as long as it is a frequently used item. What's good from the big three?

Matco 88T ratchets are excellent. Snap On flare nut wrench set. The SO PH3050 is still one of the best .401 shank air hammers on the market: even with all of the lower cost competition now, it's still probably worth it at a good discount. I recently bought a 20 oz SO dead blow ballpein and like it, but it's definitely a luxury type purchase; an Estwing will do the same thing at a fraction of the price- but with the added expense of additional shock to your elbow and wrist. Snap On FD combination wrenches might be worth it at the discount- but compare the price to Proto and Wright.

There was a thread like this a few months ago; I'll see if I can find it.
