I got about 60$ over a career invested in the couple 3 sets and a couple singles and a couple cheap Taiwan sets one from Ace, ran down the street and paid 15$. I eventually lost it.
I rarely break them but had someone come storming thru and busted out a couple and the easiest thing was to snag another set from Walmart for 15 and so far they have been perfect and survived a couple operators abuse.

For impact use i have these KoKen bit holders so i can use the bits i want and don´t have to pay the socket again and again if a bit breaks. The impact bits i use: Wiha, Wera, Koken

I snap torx bits no matter what they are. The SO gold ones seem to last the longest for me and warantee is easy because the truck comes by every week. It's a no brainer for me.

I tried different cheaper brands for years and always broke one after another, snappy had a hell of a deal on the gold ones and not 1 broken bit yet.

Snappy golds dont like imact use...ive found the hf impact ones last longer than the snaapy golds with impact use..i havnt broke a gold since i quit using them with my impact. And the hf impact ones dont like the breaker bar.

I guess it helps to use the tool for its intended use..

I have been using SO gold bits in my impact for several years and never broke one but did twist the end a bit once. I deal with a lot of steel bolts in aluminum so most are corroded badly.
