I would not like the rust stain on my driveway.

I also use scrap 2x6 or 2x8 chunks.

My driveway is gravel and typically the trailer is parked out back. This is actually a great solution.

I have those set aside as I had done a quick brake job late last fall, usually they go outback for tarp weights on the firewood piles

Kinda defeats the purpose for the wheel doesn't it?
None of my trailers have wheels on the jack, so I just use a piece of 6x6 or 4x6 PT.

Well for about $50 you can get this thing, which is amazing if you have any incline to deal with:
