The RTP10 allows a customer to lift a vehicle either symmetrically or asymmetrically.

What's that mean? I thought an asymmetric lift meant the posts were rotated at a diagonal so that the vehicle's doors can open up further without hitting the posts.

I have the Atlas pro-9d 2 post from Greg smith equipment. 9,000lb. Works great. I think I got it for $2,100 shipped.

I'll bite. Bought mine 1.5 years ago and this seemed to be the best deal:

https://www.bestbuyautoequipment.co...1k-bi-symmetric-2-post-lift-p/al2-11kc-dx.htm

Very flexible for lifting different vehicles. I wish the arms would go a couple inches higher so I could keep them raised when not in use and not need to worry about hitting my head. Otherwise, no regrets.

I believe it is a rebranded Tuxedo. Shipping weight is 1705# which says there is quite a lot more steel than most in the price range.

I've been looking at a twinbusch
https://www.twinbusch.com/product_info.php?products_id=4

Or one these https://www.asedeals.com/store/tuxedo-tp9kacx-two-post-asymmetric-auto-lift/

Another option from a local company that installs them is a
http://www.revolutionlift.com/RTP10-10000-Pound-Capacity-Two-Post-Lift-P3.aspx $3400 installed

Can also get a used 10 year old rotary for $2600 installed but I am leaning towards new.

Any other suggestions?

Out of those 3, I'd buy the Twinbusch. It has a far better/stronger carriage than the tubular carriages of the Tuxedo or Revolution.

I have that Revolution RTP10 at home, aside from the column design the hydraulics and controls look a lot like Rotary we have at work. Same parent company, that particular Revolution is exactly the same as the Forward lift, again owned by Dover. Down the road should you ever have an issue you know you will be able to find parts and somebody in your area that can service it.

It works well for me, never had an issue, doesn't leak(knock on wood). I would buy it again.

Do find it goes up high enough?

I’ve never had an issue, I’m under 6ft. But I can see you losing a few inches if you don’t use extensions to take up the dead space then raise the arms to meet lift points. This lift has about the lowest arms I’ve seen.

Have you looked at the 2 post in this thread?: https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=430038

It has the 8 bend or "S" bend columns that are more rigid and reduce sway. It also appears to be ALI certified if that is important to you. It is more expensive than the three you listed but it does come with more features like included frame adapters.

Edited to add: I can't speak for the after sale support for any of these lifts. I ended up buying a 4 post lift since that made more sense for me. I ended up going with a SS9000XLT from Advantage Lifts. I can tell you that their pre-sale, sale and and after sale support has been excellent. Tony had encyclopedic knowledge of his products and was great to deal with. I know they also sell a 2 post lift. I didn't really research it at all because I'd finally decided on a 4 post lift by then. I hate to throw even more options at you but you might want to check out the Advantage Lift website and see if you like their 2 post lift because I personally CAN highly recommend the company.
