I don't even think it would be good for that. But Id bet money that someone makes an attachment for that.

I have an IR 122max and it does what I have asked of it. Great tool.

I have that one also. I've had no reason to be unhappy with it yet.

Best value, I'd go right down to Napa. You'll find it's the same tool as Matco sells with the logo changed. They're both Chicago Pnuematics. My experience with the price and usefulness of the tool I would go there, IMO the best bang for the buck. They work well. Snap-On? Yeah, if you want to spend a lot, sure, go there. I just sold a used PH3050B for almost 200 bucks . Too much for what it is IMO.

Matco's MT2816 air hammer is a rebranded Profesional Tools Product (PTP) air tool,not made by Chicago Pnuematic.

I have one of those HF air hammers in my box. The only thing it's good for is punching holes in oil filters to drain the oil from them.

This blue point hammer is pretty nice and I think the price is a good value. A coworker of mine has one and I plan on picking one up at some point as well.

I have one of the Blue Point hammers as well. It works well for my purposes, but hasn't replaced a punch and 4lb hand sledge yet.

The Blue Point is the older PH2050 sent offshore for manufacturing. Solid unit but very overpriced direct. You can find the PH2050 on ebay for less than $100 easy which is actually a good buy. I wasn't overly impressed with the 3050, i found the trigger hard to feather. Ended up moving it along and getting a 4x Sioux rivet gun from an aircraft supply store. Way more trigger control.

Anyone who says they can hit harder with a hammer and hand punch either has tree trunks for arms or a crummy air setup/bad air hammer. You cannot beat the BPM and concentration of power. Any decent air hammer will send a pinch bolt flying into low earth orbit. Hopefully no people or valuables are in the way when it launches. You don't get close to that power on your own with a hammer and punch.
