Done. Channelock (made by Infar, same as Carlyle). They can even be found online cheaper than what I have listed, but this is the easiest method.

They have a "Non-slip jaw designs allows for higher torque and turning power in tough applications". Plus it can be picked up at your local Do It Best Hardware

9-19mm combination wrench set $49.99
https://www.doitbest.com/products/309443

16mm combination wrench - $9.49
https://www.doitbest.com/products/347175

Grand total of $59.48

The wrenches you mentioned don't have any additional features listed concerning grip (like Carlyle/Channellock, Wrightgrip, or Flank Drive). They are listed as being extra long (which can actually be a detriment), and as a former distributor mentioned on here recently...good luck with the warranty. Plus the Channellocks are $50 cheaper.

Do they make 6-8mm in these as well?

8mm, Yes. 6 & 7, no.

8mm combination wrench - $6.49

Have you ever bought from Dennis? I got that set for literally less than half of that. Great wrenches

I checked his eBay store and didn't see them. I figured he must be out of stock.

Forget Amazon! He's got them for sale directly from his website for $96.00

Dennis quit selling them due to his frustration with the company! There's a thread about it here.

"The other factor is the physical distance between Taiwan and Phoenix, AZ. One of my major problems is that I've never been able to offer a warranty since to claim it I'd have to send the defective tool back to Taiwan at my expense after the customer sends it to me at their expense which we all agree is an insane proposition." - dnschmidt

I think I'd skip that brand...

He's still selling, just got an order.

For some of his prices, I'm not even concerned about a warranty

If the price is right you self warranty, in 30yrs I only had warranty 1 stahlwille wrench and few snapon with serious chrome peal issues.
I got toptul 75deg offset combo set 8pc with sizes 8mm,10mm,12mm,13mm,14mm,17mm,19mm and 22mm for 36bucks, superb quality and I never concerned on warranty with basic hand tools as I buy based on quality and design and warranty almost pointless on wrenches and sockets with sale deal prices that can be found .
If Dennis doing the 10pc combo around 50bucks it a steal for quality you get .

Shame about him leaving the game, those toptul's look like one of the satin west german BMW wrenches I have around, I like that one quite a bit

Yeh toptul very much copied design aspects of german manufacturers.
I got elora wrenches that almost identical design style to the toptul .
Finish and precision on toptul also matches the germans hence why they such a steal at some of prices online and via dennis .
the drive-thru screwdriver set another total steal great design/quality item .

I'm in the market for a metric combo set myself. I like the SK stuff. I like the looks of the Wright wrenches, good reviews on those. Looked at Gedore and Stahlwille at AMAZON.de, really good prices on those shipped to the US. Last time I ordered from AMZON.de it took a while, two weeks or more. But the process was easy. Just like ordering from US amazon.

One thing to notice on the SK wrenches, the standards are a little short. I made a spreadsheet with the lengths of the different brands I was interested in. SK std was the shortest if it matters to you.

^ Stahlwille are sweet wrenches, I got the 13 and 14 pattern and had them for almost 3 decades, most durable wrench I ever owned.
Be little pricey with shipping/duty for US . Still cheap for world top class wrench .

I second the Tekton. Price to value ratio is unbelievably great! 50ish bucks for a set of wrenches you can beat and keep using. I have a set i bought 4 years ago. They get hit with a mini sledge and cheater pipes and cheater wrenches used on them. Only ones missing are the ones I've lost. Bought a new set for spares when i seen them on sale.
Gearwrench also has a super nice set with no skips about 130 if i remember correctly.
Topul also is great price to quality ratio!

... if giving a $10 wrench a wack with a hammer saves me $50 finding a new part then it's gonna meet the 3 pounder.

That's why I have a brass hammer.

I ordered abut $200 worth of tools. Shipping was about $12, no duty.
