Hi there:

What has everyone found for a reasonable priced garage wall paint that provides easy clean up? As usual, we are way over budget and I'm looking for a good product at a good price.

Thanks,

Tim

The Walmart Color Place line in satin or semi-gloss. It is made ny Master Chem(the makers of Kilz) in the southern zoned stores, or Valspar in the northern zoned stores. The manufacturers do not make it any different than their own line. They simply label it different for WM. Some on here have an aversion to shopping WM though.

Thanks Kf, I'll check that out. Any other suggestions would be great as well.

I just used Walmart paint (labeled as Kilz) and was very happy with it. Someone told me it got great reviews at Consumer Reports (not sure how much that means).

I dunno, I used some Valspar ceiling paint once...and it was terrible. It didn't cover well and was impossible to get a consistent finish with.

I have used Behr exclusively with very little to complain about.

We used the Wally World Color Place paint to paint a couple of rooms in the house and were very pleased with the results. It covered about 95% as well as Ace Royal and Lowes American Heritage at about 1/3 the price.

I have typically used the HD for my paint. Good info on Walmart Color Place; I was not aware of this...will need to see how the prices compare and my give them a try next time.

I used the cheapest white gloss paint I could find. It was around $14 a gallon. Covered well, and easy to clean. Best part, if it gets to bad, $14 and its all better.

Pretty sure it was Glidden.

Make up a fake buissness card on the computer and go to a contractor paint store and open up a account. I am a painter, and when i moved to this new town im in, Benjamin Moore offered me 45% off retail to use their paint, no questions asked...Or try and find someone that has account and ask for their number

We ended up going to SW for the primer and paint. Our drywaller ordered through him and the primer was around $11 gallon and the satin paint was $16 gallon and really spread well so far.

What he said - Mao Mart uses Sherwin Willaims paints under the diff labels. I am very happy with it. Go semi or full gloss to bounce light better and make clean up easier.

I tried some of the colorplace stuff today for my garage walls....I'm happy with it. It came in the color I was looking for, went on even (using a sprayer) and turned out better than I thought it would....5 gallons for $60 bucks wasn't bad either.
