So I was talking with my cornwell dealer he says the Porsche dealer uses Astro pin stripe removal tool with rubber disc on the inside of wheels for stick on weights

Been using a rag with brake Kleen for years but some are a pain to remove all during balance or tire services

Any suggestions on easier quicker way with these

The pin stripe tool sounds like a great idea, I might have to try it. Ive been using a stainless steel scraper set I have from MAC with brake Kleen, works ok.

You could always use the combination of a heavy plastic scraper and brake clean if you don't want to mar up the wheel.

Doesn't the brake kleen also remove the clear coat on the rims?

I own a detail shop and when doing wheels of details we use the rubber eraser wheel. Works great and is safe on the wheels.

I have had bad experience with Roloc disc on wheels as it takes paint off too where this is not good for the everyone

A rag or scorchbrite and brake kleen works but very time consuming and wasteful on brake kleen too

My favorite was a 1 and 1/4 inch putty knife that we rounded the corners on then "sharpened" the tip on. ( I use sharpened very loosely) it would take the weights off then go back over it a few times to get most of the sticky residue off. Anything left on a little bit of brake cleaner on a rag would take care of.

Our 500E holds up to thick double sided adhesive better than the 400E. I can send you one, OP. I you want to try

Is there a specific grinder to use it with? I work at a national chain and we sell a stupid amount of tires. Of course I'm the only person there that will do anything exotic lol

Would hitting the weight with a low temp fluid like freon or CO2 release the adhesive but not hurt the underlying material? :dunno:

I used to use a freezing type of product to remove chewing gun from surfaces - worked great.
