Best Weekend Epoxy

OK, I just discovered this great site. I have read many of your facts and opinions regarding epoxy applications on garage floors.

Yes I am a newbie with limited time and a bad back. Yet I am looking for an epoxy floor for my 2 car garage that will look good and won't peel, and can be completed over the weekend. A kit would be preferable.

Does anyone have recommendations or suggestions?

DO NOT USE A EPOXY!!!!!!!!!!! I have read allot of post on here and it sounds like you should use the rocksolid product. I have not used it, but have used a polyurea before, and had great results. I would check the website and call them to order your weekend project.

I just put it down this week...... It goes down really nice!
The product hides a ton of sins on concrete floors! Follow as directions say and you can't go wrong! I have a customer that wants me to put some down on his garage floor.

Yes this my first post, and I new to this site, but very expierienced in floor coatings. I currently install a MMA and love it. I do not know much about the polyurea systems, but from what sixty 4 has wrote about the Rock Solid system sure does sound good. I will be interested in knowing more about it, or about anything that you think is better. I am open to all of your flooring knowledge. Teach me.

Oh I know exatly what it is... I have used Polyurea as a sample and liked it, but I have way to much success with my MMA, so I am not changing what is working. Seemd likes all you know is trying to rag on people. So what do you use? Please tell me what is the best and why. I am open to your endless knowledge.

Ok, so your first post is a lie. You yourself admit you had great results but 2 post later you say it was a sample. What types of results can you get from a sample? Not believable at all.

Your second post you admit not having much experience but it "sounds good"?? As a professional installer, do you go by sales pitch or actual experience?? All my posts are from my experiences. I'm not here to push a product or sell my services. Which are you in here for?

Your third post you accuse me of just being here to rag on people and in essence pic a fight with me. Not the smartest thing to do as a newbie. There isn't a person in here that thinks you are credible from your 3 and only posts so far. If they do than they are brain dead.

I suggest that if you are here to push a product than be upfront about it. If your here to help others like I am than think before you post. Otherwise you will be looked as a fraud. Reread you 3 posts objectively and see how foolish you sound.

I don't get it either. The first post says 'DO NOT USE EPOXY' and then it looks like this guy has never used the product he is recommending. Why not epoxy? It looks to me like MMA is the only thing this guy has ever used. I think the fumes are taking their toll.

It's really hard to make blanket statements about different chemistries. Not all epoxies are created equally and neither are urethanes, polyureas, polyaspartics, acrylics... etc. etc...

There are plenty of good products out there. Epoxy has been used for over 50 years with success. I'd say that is a pretty good track record. MMA is fine as long as you can take the fumes and need really quick return to service. MMA is not as tough as modern epoxies (in general). In additon, many epoxies can offer the same quick return to service.

Epoxies are a great solution for garage flooring! The thing that I recommend is that whatever you use is 100% solids.
