Go get a set of custom orthotics made for your foot.
Couple hundred bucks, but it's worth it.

super feet are really good but real orthotics are the way to go. I wear redbacks as my back up duty boot and the insoles ****.

I have the Dr. Sholls that you buy at Walmart, after you stand on the machine that maps your feet. Best $50 I have spent on an insert in years. Old shoes feel like new with these inserts.

It's not the insole that count it's the boots start with a good quality fitted boot Like hoffmans whites danners ect then get your self some custom insoles or silicone insoles

I used to use dr scholls I would go through a pair a month that 120 buck a years Not worth it they are made like **** even there work boot insole won't take the abuse

Your feet and hands are your most important tools take care of them. It killed me to spend over 400 buck on a pair of boots but they fit like a glove they can be resoled and rebuilt. I can say my feet haven't hurt in years 3 years and counting I would expect to get at least 10 years out of them so it was well worth the investment

I like redwing "comfort supreme(?)" in my workboots. Wore them while working rotating 12hr shifts on concrete for years. They lasted as long as the boots.

I'm a mechanic also and wear red backs at work the stock foam sole *****. I use the upgraded insole they make the tool men sell them or you can buy it on there web site there about $25. Those insoles and red backs are the only boots that don't hurt my feet at work

Dr Scholls are mediocre at best.

I'm partial to the Redwing insoles myself. They seem to last a long time and my feet dont hurt after a 14 hour workday.

I'm definately interested in trying some of these insoles. Around 6 mos ago I stopped wearing my steel toes to work because I was developing a rather noticeable limp. Not be required to wear work boots, I started wearing sneakers. Well, a few weeks back I put a sawzall through my shoe, sock and into my toe. Needless to say had I been wearing my steel toes I wouldn't have a story to tell any of my friends while drinking beer lol.

What he said!
The best boots I've found are Royer Metal Free boots. They are very light with a soft rubber sole and very, very comfortable. They are not cheap boots, but after wearing them you will never be able to go back to those cheap *** Kodiaks or Terra or what ever cheap *** boots are killing your feet. Here is a link:

these by far have been my favorite. they have great support, and in the right boot you can be good all day. i work plant maintenance and wear redwing boots right now. and they feel great to be on, much better than the keen boots i was using.

although it may not entirely solve your problem as the boot itself may not be good no matter what insole you put in, which is what i had with the keen, even with these insoles the keens started hurting again after about a month or two. but inside a pair of redwings they feel a hell of a lot better, and i will probably replace the redwings with a set of carolinas after this for even more comfort.

check those insoles out, they are definitely worth a shot, after a week of break in, they are damn nice. but if these don't solve your foot problem, you may need to consider a different boot.

I gave up on insoles and started buying quality wool socks and couldn't be happier....I've tried every brand of wool socks and none of them are as good as DARN TOUGH..

made in USA with an old school 100% satisfaction guarantee....

http://darntough.com/

I primarily buy them from Amazon and check a few times a month to see if Amazon has any on clearance...sometimes you get lucky and Amazon will have a 20 dollar pair of socks marked down to 7 dollars...I've got prime which helps too

I'm on my feet all day as well and I use Cadence insoles. The best combination of comfort and support I found and I've tried them all. And they last! I have the same 3 pair that I got 2 years ago. I wear them in all my boots and shoes and highly recommend them. These will make bad boots feel great and good boots feel awesome. Good luck!

1 pair of 3 season double leather 16" climbers with dual shank ( 8lbs )
2 pairs of spiked insulated rubber leather combination boots

VS

at least 6 pairs of timberland pros i bought over the past 5 years wore out and tossed
Plus back then my feet always hurt at the end of the day

How are y'all fitting the insoles ordered online? My Georgia Muddogs make my heels slip because the entire foot is rubber and doesn't flex much at all. They fit everywhere else.

A good pair of boots make a huge difference. They need to not be flexible at all in the arch. If you can press down with your thumb and the boot flexes inthe arch, then when your body weight is on it, plus whatever you are carrying or pushing, it will be like no support at all.

Even with good boots a custom set of orthotics will make things better, a good pair with not flex in the arch. Many people choose the comfort squishy instead of rigid support. The rigid support keeps stress off the tensor facia lata, which is the major cause of foot pain related to poor mechanics of the foot. The abnormal mechanics can cause other foot problems as well. Just like anything else if you want something good, consult a professional.

Some people need time to get used to the orthotics, kind of like breaking in those new boots.

I have thousands of miles in a pair of Danners boots I bought about 20 years ago. They are the most comfortable things I have put on my feet, including sneakers. I still have the pair. I use them for cold weather. They have many varieties now, when I bought them they had four styles.

I hear Chippewa's are good too. There are different boots for different things.

Redback Easy Escapes are the best boots!!!!! I just got my Easy Escapes, and damn are they comfortable! I bought a pair of these and a pair of Blundstone 510's to alternate through out the week. The difference is like night and day!! I just started as an Audi Tech, so im on my feet for about 9-10 hours. What I did was purchase these boots and try them on after work. My Feet where swollen and tired. The Easy Escapes from Redback Felt the BEST. My feet felt comfortable and relaxed. I ordered the the Redback Leather inner sole inserts and did the same 4 days later. I tried them on after a long shift, and wow could you feel a difference! I recommend the the Redback Easy Escapes. I hope they keep making them in Australia and not overseas like the Blundstone Boots. I will definitely buy another pair of these!

You work for them or something? Any reason you feel the need to spew this spam out in thread after thread?

@454ragtop I don't work for them. I just got a pair and feel like people should give them a try that's all. Try them, and if you don't like them return them and post your review.

<---I work in a ski shop. We make custom insoles for ski boots. Everytime one gets messed up I remold it for my foot and put it in my sneakers. It helps a lot. Incidentally it helps a lot in ski boots too. Nothing like putting a big lever on your foot to magnify any issues with your feet.

I have to say this too: I've found that even "quality" shoes and sneakers have midsoles that lose their support after six months or so. So the outer/upper may look great still, the sole may look like it has lots of life left, you may have a nice new insole in it, and your feet will STILL hurt at the end of the day. I honestly think frequent replacement is the best medicine. Runners seem to agree.

I tried Powerstep Protech full length inserts... loved them. I recommend them.
That's what I have. Went to a podiatrist to see about getting custom orthotics and he recommended these instead. The kind I get from him are the orthotic kind only available through licensed medical professionals, not the ones they sell retail, although I don't know what the difference is if there is any. I do know the ones I pick up at the foot doctor cost me $40 pr which is quite a bit less than the prices on retail ones I've seen. I only had one visit with him 5 or so years ago, but I stop in about once a year, whenever I get a new pair of work shoes, and buy another set of protech powersteps from his receptionist. Also, they last a LOT longer than any of the Dr Scholl type things they sell retail.

Superfeet green. I'm a hiker, mountaineer, backpacker... Try a pair. It will take a few days to get used to them. I do up to ten hour 25 mile day hikes and don't leave the house for less than 10 miles.
