These aren't made in Italy but are in fact produced in Hong Kong under Beta's supervision.

I hope that helps.

Just let me know if you need any more info.

Hi MotoGF,
Another question, where are Beta hammers manufactured?

What other interesting Beta trivia can you share?

Hi Joe,

I'm trying to get a complete list of COOs from Beta but at the moment I have to ask them for each specific product. Do you have a specific hammer in mind?

What sort of trivia are you after? I'm sure I could conjure something up.

Gary.

I'm curious about their auto body hammers. An example would be the 1357.

It looks like they are cleanrancing them off of Amazon.com. At the prices they are asking, I'm not surprised they are not a big seller in the USA. The sale clearance prices are reasonable but one can find Martin hammers at around the same price that are made in the USA. I actually bought a couple of them from Amazon when I was making another purchase. I might fill out the set if they are something nice and not just an overpriced China set.

Thanks for your reply! Not much info on Beta over here in the USA. I had never actually seen any of their products until I bought one online for kicks.

Amazon should make it so you need to put a COO on every item listed.
It's just a damn guessing game nowdays.

I agree but I bet that would be too much data for them to manage. The hammers I bought were open stock so they were only in a little bag with the part number on it and a bar code. Neither the bag or the hammer itself had COO on it. I'll have to post some pics when I get a chance. I too some but they did not turn out good.

I'll get the COOs for you as soon as I can but that could be a little time since we're now into the festive period.

Monte - I don't think I'd put my small number of cents that I have left over from my last trip to the US up against your big bucks ;->

Automatique,

I have an SK brand that's made in France, in your neck of the woods. :D
Perhaps the same offered by Facom. I have no idea who the OEM is.

@Superautobacs,
The Facom's are different. Actually they're similar to those sold by Beta, Vigor, Bgstechnic and other (look at Monte's links). Your black SK's are nice, what do you think about them ? Are they strong enough ? May i ask you how much you pay for them ?

@jk47, sorry for hijacking your threat:bow:.

Yes i have the Facom set. It´s always on sale here for 19.-€ + tax so i bought it. But i only used one tool of the set once so i can´t tell you. :)

I would look out for Bojo, they offer 3 types: soft, medium and ultra strength.
It was discussed here already and i think most people say they´re the best.

Yes, sorry jk47.

Here's a link, and they are on sale, too! : http://www.tooltopia.com/sk-hand-tool-90110.aspx

For the price, can go wrong. I've only used one so far for aiding the removal of decals/emblems, so I can't say much. As they are made of composite materials, it's quite sturdy.

A set of these is on my list. So thanks, I'll check out the Facom and Bojo. Any other quality ones?

Looks like Sears stocks the SK ones. Or at least the website has it. Don't know about the stores. Anyone know?
