Hi all. Looking for some help.

Recently acquired a used Beverly shear. The knives on this particular one have been sharpened so many times they have lost their relief cuts and they have a few nicks. Had a few of these Beverlys so I know them well, but I don't have another one to reference. I'm hoping to get them back in order to cut cleanly.

Can anyone measure theirs or tell me the following:

1. The proper angle to sharpen the knives to?
2. If the upper and lower sharpening angle is the same? (Assuming so)
3. The distance of the relief angle on the lower blade?
4. The distance of the relief angle on the upper blade?
5. The angle of the relief?

Thank you!

Thanks for the reply.

I did reach out to Mitler Bros who now sells the Beverly Shears, replacement blades and does sharpening. Due to the amount of time my knives have been sharpened they won't fit in their jigs.

Therefore I'm hoping to clean these up best I can before eventually buying a new $160 set.

Thanks

They're usable. The nicks have been sharpened out. Just hoping to find the proper angles to restore them.

Thanks
