You'll get better quality bits buying them individually from Apex or Zephyr.

I have that Cornwell set. It's pretty complete and they are very tough. I think they are made by VIM. Good quality for the money. You won't regret it

I would go with Carlyle on that..high quality..lifetime warranty..and nomatter where you work, theres a NAPA around. Thats one of the reasons i quit the tool trucks. 20+ yrs at the same shop, have seen tool trucks come and go...Thats part of the reason i have 3 of everything. Easier to buy an item from the current tool truck...than chase down the old one for a replacement..And dont be surprised when your not on their route...they are a lot less co-operative...But look on Carlyle's web site, they have some really nice complete sets. Will have to go on the NAPA site for pricing. I would recomend S-K, but you have a better chance of a unicorn pooping on your roof at exactly 2:48pm tomorrow...than you do getting S-K to ever warranty a screwdriver, or driver bit..........

My honest advice is buy the 1/4" and 5/16" bit driver sockets and get all the bit sets you want. Not only would it be way cheaper, but you could get the quality brands with breaking the bank. From my experience, hex/torx/screw driver bits are an expendable item. They typically don't hold up well under hard use and its way easier to just grab another $0.99 bit than it is to chase down the tool truck to warrenty a $20 bit driver. I ordered the bondus ball end driver bits on the internet and the entire set was under $15 and they are holding up great. I know I have run into problems in the past where a tool store or industrial hardware outlet will stock complete sets, but not individual items, so you have to wait for it to be ordered for warrenty.

This is the best advice yet.................

I've got the Vim sets for hex and torx, haven't had any issues with them.
I've also got the Snapon gold torx rail.
Love being able to throw a twisted or broken tool at the SO guy.
Do you have to order the Zephyr and Apex on line, or does somebody actually carry them locally?
I don't know if I could deal with swapping bits in and out.

one of the better prices I've seen on bare 5/16 sockets is a gearwrench 5/16 hex 3/8 drive @ cripe currently. I came really close to ordering a bunch but found what I really needed for the time being in SK.

And I'll second Apex. The insert bits in my SK sockets had seen better days in a few sizes. I ordered Apex replacement bits and am 100% happy; especially w/ the Torx40.

Ok I think me saying bits got everyone on the wrong track. Im looking for a set of allen std and metric torx e torx and tamper proof sockets not bits I just couldnt think of the right words for it at the time. I also saw some large matco silver eagle sets one was like a 43 piece torx set and the other like 46 allen socket set. But was not sure of the quality being they are the sliver eagle line. Thanks everyone for the advice thus far

OTC sells sets too and don't use them on an impact.OTC will not warranty their hex and torx bits if broken with an impact, voids the warranty this way.I have the impact grade too,the GP sets and only broken two of their torx bits so far.I was amazed how quick I got a replacement, the next day.

Cornwell set is perfect. I could not be happier. Its very complete. The only thing they could have considered including is a set of triple square sockets but have yet to see a set that includes them anyway
