I'm always seeing great finds other people discover here on the GJ.
And as my new garage reaches completion, I need some cabinets and on a lark I searched craigslist... and I found something! Just picked these up from the seller this morning. Apparently his father had them in his business forever, probably from the 50s (or possibly even 40s) he claimed. He even had the keys.
Very cool. Logos look great. They are 12" deep, with about 8 inches of usable shelf and the trays on the doors are about 3" deep. I may have to make some internal adjustments, but I love them!

Those are super cool! I never see matching ones for sale. Sometimes you see multiple for sale from the same seller but they are always mismatched and usually look like they spent a few years at the bottom of the ocean lol.

From the front they all look really good, just a nice patina. The logos are good on all of them.
One of the cabinets is in rougher shape inside and the lock latch mechanism is shot. They all latch with the lock, there is no way to keep them closed without locking them. I'll probably add a catch to them all. None of the shelves are designed to be removable, they are all welded in. I probably remove some of the shelves also may remove the dividers on the inside of the doors from one or two. So it will take a little work to make them useful for my application. But I love them.
I think I got a good deal. As the seller said, all the value is in the logo on the front. I paid $450 for all four!

Actually, my wife loves them too and wants to pick the best one out for the house. I may have to fight to keep it... ;-)

I haven't seen a P&D parts truck since the mid 1980's. I used to see those cabinet's in quite a few repair shops. Nice score.
