Big *** Fan Alternatives?

So I think their fans are cool and I’ve seen their largest in action (24’ or whatever) running on three phase. However, if you’ve looked at the price of even their 10’ fans they are prohibitively expensive. I have a directional 5’ on wheels but it’s inefficient and loud.

Has anyone found a more cost effective quality alternative to the big *** ceiling fans?

I’ve got an idea of making one but I’m not an engineer and am worried about doing it safely so that’s well on the back burner.

How high is your ceiliing? What is the square footage of the area you're trying to move air through?

I put one of these in from Home Depot. #YG491-BN. 84" diameter DC motor variable speed remote. Moves decent air and looks good. At $365 each one can afford several vs one or two BA fans.

Specs say weighs 20 lbs. Think that's correct?

You didn't say if you were looking for living spaces or for industrial use. Fanimation makes large ceiling fans. I've had one of their 72" Odyns in the living room on a 6' downrod for the last 7 years. It has a DC motor--no sound and the slowest setting moves lots of air in a gentle breeze.

I bought two of these for the shop to replace the 60 inch ones I bought from mcmaster. One lasted a little over a year , the other is still going. Btx they sucked I got more air from the 60 inchers

I have a 72" something or other from HD that was on sale for a little under $300. It too has a brushless motor, 6' downrod and 8 properly cupped blades. It moves decent air at low speed, quite a bit in the middle ranges and it's like a damn hurricane in the top speeds.
