Big Greenlee slick

Picked up this 6" Greenlee slick yesterday. Anybody else have one? They seem to be fairly scarce. Most slicks are 4 1/2" or less.

Its definitely wider than any slick I've seen. It doesn't look sturdy enough to be a slick from this picture. The socket on my 3 1/2" wide slick is more robust. Maybe for removing old roofing/shingles.

Might also be a bark spud. I've only seen one slick at 4.5", and it was a beast for thickness at the back.

A wood chisel that is 3" wide or wider is generally called a slick. Came with a long handle, used by timber framers, etc.

It has a few blemishes, but it’s sharp. No chance of reading a maker's mark.
