My wife is pining for some replacement parts for a Johnson Model J.
If anyone knows where I could get my hands on a couple of pieces I'd be happy as a clam.
I need the casting for the lower mount for the hydraulic cylinder, and I also need one blade guide arm, I don't need the bearings or bearing carrier, just the arm.
I have no idea how someone would break that arm, but they made up for it by brazing it back together, crooked......

Could also use a hydraulic cylinder rebuild kit.....

Cheers,
McD

I am not personally familiar with the J model Johnson. I generally work with the larger models. The size of the Johnson in relation to the cylinder is of some importance as is adequate lubrication. However, what is highly important is the proper usage (technique and safety wise) of all Johnson models. Definitely straighten the "arm" for satisfactory results.

This thread was off to a fast start and thankfully ended quick too.

Someone should start a small fish taco thread.
