Big machine vise I just scored!

Just pick up this big machine vise. Did I need another vise not really, but for 20 bucks. I could not help myself.

We all need to come with a use for that thing.
A book rack is all I can I can instantly think of.
I guess if mounted on the wall it could be a can crusher.

I thought it would go good with the other vices I got. Red one is Columbian No.5. I built the stand for it. The other 3 are 2 Craftsman and a smaller Columbian. The Columbian vices I got from auto dealer that was closing . They threw them out unreal nothing wrong with them. The 2 Craftsman vices were free too. They say there made in the USA on them.

I was a big star wars fan... I often speak like Yoda... so does my wife... she is a tax auditor... if she shows up at your place... Jail somebody goes, they will.

I knew I wanted a big machine vise, but I was not actively looking for a vice. I was having a breakfast sandwich at McDonalds while looking at tools on Craigslist. This vice was for sale and posted 13 minutes before. I called and set up a meeting. 30 minutes later I was on my way home with this vice.
BTW, I got it for $20 This was two years ago.

No not sitting on a 55 gallon drum,but is almost covering the top of a 16 gallon drum that is around 14 inchs wide.

Nice score and I would have jumped at that myself. I am at the point I really have way more vises than I can use and I know I should sell a couple but cannot bring myself to part with them.

A monster machinist vise...not sure what I would do with something like that but it would be cool to have!

Now you need to buy a mill or a really big shaper so you can use the vise.

Vise is 21 1/2 long x 11 inch's wide and 6 inch's tall. It opens up to 7 1/4.
