I am in the process of installing a Big Maxx Unit heater and had one question about the venting requirements. I have an attached garage and will be venting horizontally. I was just curious i have a 18" wall jut out for a closet on the exterior of my house would this be considered an interior angle by two exterior walls? If possible i would like to be closer to this jut out then 6' -(which is the recommended clearance from any interior angle formed by two exterior walls) but want to make sure it will not be an issue. Any help is much appreciated and i look forward to reading many new post on this site.

In my mind, that WOULD be considered an interior angle. I think the spacing requirements are to ensure proper draft and negate air movement effects/dead air areas. That would all apply regardless of what cased the angle, a closet, another room, part of the garage itself.

Call Mr Heater tech support and ask them if that small 18" bump out would require a 6' vent spacing limitation. They are pretty easy to work with...
