I need some help troubleshooting my furnace. The indicator light is blinking steady, the exhaust blower comes on and it attempts to light. When I open the tank with the pipe not connected after the regulator, there is hardly any gas. In fact, there wasn't any and it slowly began come out but still it very little. Is this common for the "low pressure regulator"? Also this is propane.

Thanks in advance

How cold has it been in your location ? Is your regulator frozen ? It's happened a few times to my parents and my step-dad has went out to the tank with a hair dryer to thaw it out.

FYI, adding a general location to your profile will help other members give you proper advice.

Thanks. Do these freeze up? Is there something I can do to prevent this? I had the unit for 2 years and its always worked. Also, thanks for the tip, I updated my location.

It wouldn't be the first to freeze up as you can clearly see that. Having a larger tank should make it harder to freeze due to it's thermal mass unless the tank is getting closer to empty.

Does it have a cover on the top that encloses the regulator/valve. If not, I'd think that freezing rain with ice build up would be worse than having some snow on it.
