I think my flame sensor is dirty or bad. How is the easiest way to remove it?

I can see it, but the screws are from the other side. I don't want to take it too far apart, and there be an easy way to remove it.

Thanks,
Jack

I can't give you your answer but I looked at mine last year and it looked very complicated. Mine ended up being the control board. I am on my third one aND every time I change it it is different than the one I replaced. They must have a lot of trouble with them. Did you follow the troubleshooting procedure?
I used it and it said the board was bad and it was.

Thanks Padroo.

To access it, you must first remove the "box", that everyhing is attached to.

This box has the gas manifold, circuit board , etc. on it.

There are 6 screws holding it to the main heater frame.

There are 2 screws holding the flame sensor on.

After cleaning the first time it barely worked.

Then the 2nd time, I thoroughly scrubbed it with finer sandpaper.

Works great now.

I'll get some pictures on here in a day or so.
