Big Maxx or Modine

About to order a heater for the new shop. Have narrowed it down to a 45K Big Maxx or Modine Hot Dawg.

For the around $200 difference between the two is the Modine a better heater?

Have seen the posts about circuit boards on the Big Maxx but they seem to rectify the situation quickly when it does appear.
Both seem to have tubular coils and gas is gas so..........

I don't know anything about the Modine units, but I installed a Mr. Heater 75K unit two months ago in my new shop. Natural gas. Shop is 30x36 with 10' walls and a 4:12 roof. The roof is insulated R30. Walls R19. Two insulated 9x10 doors. . No ceiling. It works perfectly. Outside temp these past few days were ) and below.....without wind chill. Set at 45 overnight. Walk in, turn it up to 65.
Twenty minutes it reaches temp. Cycles off about 25 minutes and 10 minutes cycle on.
More than pleased with it.

is that a typical wall heater? I had someone give me a big rezonor unit. I'll convert it to propane and use it in my shop eventually.

The Mr. Heater mentioned in my post above is a hanging type.

I have a Mr. Heater 45000 NG and it works fine, heats 26' x30' no problem

Mr. Heater has a nicer looking decal on the front......

I installed a 75K BTU Mr. Heater in October 09 and it has run flawlessly in my shop. I have an insulated pole barn that is 40 x 63 with a 14' ceiling. The heater is hanging in the corner and I have 3 60" ceiling fans running slowly to keep the hot air circulating. I am here in northern Wisconsin and it keeps the shop at 40 unless I am in there, then I heat it up to 55. Takes about 45 minutes to heat that large space up, but once it is up to temp the furnace doesn't cycle on/off very often. Last year it took about 100 gallons of Propane to heat the shop all winter.
