Big Pipe - Ideas

I have this large pipe/culvert approx 12’ wide 7.5’ tall and 14‘ long. The picture was when it was new before we installed it in a creek for a driveway crossing. Long story short it wasn’t big enough to handle all the water after a large rain storm and had to be replaced with a bridge. My dilemma now is what to do with this thing. Obviously I could sell it or scrap it but was wondering if anyone had any creative ideas on repurposing for some other use. I’ve got plenty of space and no neighbors to worry about their opinion. Let’s see what y’all can come up with.

List it for sale on Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace and require potential buyers to answer the following questions...

1. What vehicle will you use to move it?
2. How many people will you bring to lift it?
3. How will you secure it during transport?
4. What are you doing to do with it?

I suspect you'll get some laughs.

That looks like a really good beginning of a tornado shelter to me.

It's too slippery for a moto trials or extreme enduro obstacle so use it as a tunnel under a jump on your MX track.

Or keep it for the next stream crossing.

covered grilling kitchen, outdoor eating space, lounging space.

It would be great to grill and keep out the rain and wind!

base cabinets, counter, bbq grill, smoker, chairs/table, lounger etc. Put in a smoke stack/hood to get good smoke flow (flowing up & out not just out the ends).

orient it best for the winds at your location or maybe enclose an end to stop drafts.

If you have kids, put a sandbox and picnic table out there?

Such short term thinking!!

Put a cot and a lamp in it, put it in the woods by your house and list it on AirBNB for $300 a night. Remember "People are stupid". You could make a ton of cash.

Or, bury it and build a bomb shelter. (And still list it on AirBnB)

Looks like the nucleus of a Rabbit Hutch or a chicken coop. Very possibly a Play House or a Fort for those "Playing Army" games of young boys.

Looks like a motorcycle garage to me. Need to engineer the ends but that should be easy.

All three of these are very real possibilities.

sell it to someone upstream where the creek is smaller

I tried this a couple times. For some reason everyone seems skeptical of the size once they find out it washed out in the creek.

I'd be in the bunker/ shelter crowd or great wood shed.

In theory, it should hold just under 10 cords of wood. Which would be awesome because I don't use that much wood so if you started stacking half way in and work out it would be plenty, Next years wood goes in from the other end. So you could alternate wood use from one end then the other year to year.
