Big Red Air Machine

Seems there is not a lot of info out there on these. I picked up one that looks like an 60 gallon unit. Single phase, 5hp 230 motor. Wired it up today and it has an extremely loud knock to it. I'm looking for maybe a parts diagram and then possibly a place to buy them.

The pump looks similar to rolair designs.

Those are still the supplier for Snap on if I remember. If you look at the partnumber on SNAPON, I think they start with BRA for big red air.

Well I guess that's it. Gonna add some More oil to it today and give it a few more spins. It if doesn't stop knocking I guess I'll start tearing her down. Don't know where to start though.

Well, they are connecting rods. That's what they look like. If you mean the thin wire sticking out of the bottom , those are designed to sling oil on the bottom of the piston. Splash lubrication.
