Hello all.
Last year I spent a great deal of time building a house for my aging parents to live it.
The front porch needs a rail. My dad is wheelchair bound so I’ve got to put a railing to keep him from rolling into the flowerbed. Also the front porch on the main house that I live in has some aging railing that I want to make out of metal.

So off I go and here is a couple pictures to start.

This will have a wood cap when I’m all done.

And what’s a new project without cold beer.

Some progress.
5/8” .065 tube pickets
1x1.5 x .090 tube bottom and mid. 3/8”x 1.5” FB ends and top.
Then it will have a wood cap. Haven’t decided if I’m going to go with cedar or maybe IPE wood. It’s pretty and hard but a ****** to work with.

All my welding is done with my Miller Multimatic 200
Mig and Tig.

A longer table would be nice but my garage isn’t big enough.
Going to work to use the big tables is not my idea of a nice Sunday.

Looks like you’re off to a good start. Cheers bro. Sounds like a fun project. Be sure to post the finished product so we can see how it turns out. [emoji41][emoji1360][emoji482]
