i went to a sheet metal bussiness closing auction today... i previewed yesterday just to see what they had... i've got a 45x60 uninsulated shop and have been planning on insulating lately.. my big score, 180 sheets of 4x12 insulation with foil on both sides for only $260.00.... homedepots price was about $1800.00.... i'm a happy camper

I hate to dampen your spirits.....but now you have to install it. All that money you saved you are now going to end up spending on Beer, chips and salsa....

Good score though...

what you bought is duct wrap from the description. I don't think that it will do much for your uninsulated metal building.

Most of the time Estate and Closing Auctions are advertised in the Shopper's Guide. Once you find some ask the auction staff about a mailing list or there website.

what i got is actually sheets of styrofoam with a foil backing on both sides... the way i see it is if a styrofoam cup will insulate your hands from a hot cup of coffee it's got to be better than nothing at all in the shop....
i guess i should've said it was an actual steel building manufacturer and not just a sheet metal business, so this looks to be what they used in their buildings
