Stopped by Lowes on the way home saw a mr. heater big maxx 50m btuh heater out of the box (display model) regular price $429 clearance price $257 missing thermostat, manager said no stat $200 and I said sold !! putting in 24x24 attached garage for the cars.

Let me say that you ****! BTW, my Mr. Heater didn't come with a thermostat. Is this something new, or did you just get a better deal 'cause the mgr. thought they came with one?

Yes its natural gas and the one I bought for the shop back in December came with a stat.

Very nice! From time to time, Lowes will really give stuff away. I was fortunate enough about 6 months or so ago to cash in on some of the cast iron Hunter Original ceiling fans. Normally, they go for $350 and after watching them online for what felt like months, they went to $100. I bought 4 online at 3 different stores in the area and picked them up the same day. My fiancé and I still laugh about that one.
