gentlemen,

need to make and hang a big shed door, door will be 15ft wide and 14ft high

the frame will be from 1.5" pipe and I suppose 3 internal supports cross ways

sheeting will be corrugated sheet vertical

the track is what I am thinking about at the min any suggestions?

thinking of using 70mm track welded to a 4" channel on edge and 2 roller hangers one at each end

any links for track and roller setups? want to price rollers on line as are small light and easy to ship so could make a saving I reckon

Im not sure what they sell in Ireland, but I would check out where people buy agricultural or barn equipment. They sell heavy duty roller / track assemblies for large doors. The main thing is to get it nice and level and to have the upper track rock solid anchored.

Depending on how much room you have on each side of the doorway you may want to think about making the door in two pieces and have the roll to each side rather than all to one side to make the doors lighter to move.

aidank, being on the other side of the pond does add a degree of difficulty, but I can offer you what I used for a couple doors of very similar size and construction that were a part of this project I posted a little over a year ago...

I have a local supplier that sells metal siding and roofing, and all the hardware and accessories, mainly Plyco brand.

All my tracks and rollers are this system:

They seem to hold up well. No problems with mine, but they are relatively new. My Dad has a machine shed with 3 sliders using the same track system that have been up since 1994, also with no issues.
