Thanks. Yeah I couldnt pass it up for that, now I need to open it up and clean it out it feels a little rough.

The cart and vice came from the same sale but this is what I was there for and probably why he was so generous with the big ratchet. Its a JET 1236P and its missing a few things but should have it up and running as soon as I build a stand for it.

Nice lathe. The older Jets are pretty nice machines IMHO. What all is it missing? Did the guy have a bunch of other machine tools for sale? Sounds like one heck of a "garage sale". Mind if I ask what the lathe set you back? What else did you buy?

Its missing the chuck jaws and the tool holder and need to get some tools and a dead head. Not really much more machine stuff but he did have another smaller clausing lathe that was already sold. Yeah it was a pretty big moving/garage sale I ended up with quite a few things because it was practically a fire sale including a battery charger, a bunch of drill bits, an old walker jack that needs to be restored, nutsert kit, some old metal signs, boxes of hardware, some shelving and a few other odds and ends. I got it out of there for about $450, the lathe was as is and wasnt hooked up so havent seen it run. I wish I got there for the clausing it went for $200. I had also bought my 2 post lift from him last month that I just got put up.

I have a few of the larger sockets. Mostly I just use the big ratchets with reducers.

Snap On uses a date code system with certain symbols representing what year the tool was made and with your ratchet E=1944.
